Today, Empire Of The Sun announced an extensive U.S. headline tour plus shows in Brixton, UK and Paris, FR. To celebrate the decade anniversary of their debut album, Walking On A Dream, the band will be playing intimate venues across the country, with two-night stands in numerous cities, including Chicago, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
The tour announcement follows the release of the limited-edition vinyl of Walking On A Dream: 10th Anniversary Edition. This special product, available for purchase via Astralwerks HERE, includes a gatefold, 180-gram heavyweight transparent blood orange vinyl of Walking On A Dream and a unique code to download the unreleased track “Chrysalis”, featuring the original artwork from the initial 2009 vinyl release.
Praising “Chrysalis”, SPIN noted, “The groovy, 80s-inspired single instantly takes you back to 2009, with breathy indie-dance vocals…” Idolator said, “It’s as sunny, otherworldly and multi-layered as you would expect from Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore.”
Australian alt-electro pioneers Empire Of The Sun (Luke Steele & Nick Littlemore) have been making waves across the world with phenomenal live shows and anthemic hits for the past decade. Their 2015 U.S. West Coast tour culminated with a spectacular sold-out headline performance at the legendary Hollywood Bowl in front of more than 17,000 fans.
Empire Of The Sun has amassed nearly two billion total streams and has reached multi-Platinum status with the global singles “We Are The People”, “Alive”, “High & Low” and “Walking On A Dream”, which is certified Platinum in the U.S.
